In parallel with the aim of contributing to the improvement of our Faculty’s students, our Department’s mission is to offer theoretical and applied compulsory and elective courses that constitute a basis to art, such as Basic Art Education, Pattern, General Art History, Iconography, Perspective, Lithograph, Mythology, Turkish Mythology, History of Civilization, Art and Society, Psychology of Art, Art Concepts. 

Our department aims to contribute to the education of the students of different disciplines, by helping them to become young, dynamic graduates who are well-educated in art and culture, who have esthetic senses, who can synthesize consistently, who have developed interpretation skills, who have internalized the historical development of art and can compare it to modern arts, and who consider art as a philosophy of life.
